Shetland Livestock Marketing Group Ltd in conjunction with Aberdeen and Northern Marts held their first sale day of 2012 on Saturday 28 January, which saw a good turnout from sellers. The quality of stock was high with all classes of livestock selling well and good prices were received across the board. A total of 311 sheep and six cattle were sold.

Following the livestock sale a second auction was held selling off used material, equipment and machinery which attracted interest from people throughout Shetland with almost every item sold.
