Shetland Livestock Marketing Group in conjunction with Aberdeen & Northern Marts had 2642 lambs and ewes of all classes at their special sale on Saturday 24th September 2011 in Lerwick.

All classes were dearer with native Shetland lambs showing the biggest increase. All classes of ewes were very keenly bid for.

Cheviot – £64.00 from Hillcrest, Quarff; £58.50 from Seafield, Fetlar; £53.00 from Islescape, Ollaberry; £52.00 from Klettnahoull, Garth.

Shetland – £45.50 from Doonbye, Ollaberry; £44.00 from Netherton, Levenwick & Leascole, Eshaness; £43.00 & £40.50 from Quoys, Sandsound; £39.50 from Buddabrake, Haroldswick.
