Shetland Livestock Marketing Group in conjunction with Aberdeen and Northern Marts held their annual spring sale of cattle and sheep on Friday 8th April.

The presale show was judged by Tom Gray and Rory Johansen, both mainland buyers and awarded Champion to a 458 Kg Limousin Cross from Hubert Moar, Brouster, Bridge of Walls which sold at £1100 to Judge Tom Gray, South Craighead, Ardallie, Mintlaw.

Bullocks sold to a top price per kg of 273.6 for Charolais crosses to average 212.3p

Heifers sold to a top price per kilo of 203.2p for Limousin crosses from Brouster, Bridge of Walls to average 196.6p

A mixed show of cattle were forward with quality strong cattle being sold at enhanced rates.
