LERWICK - Shetland Livestock Marketing Group in conjunction with Aberdeen & Northern Marts sold 6 breeding cattle and 278 store sheep at their special January sale.

All classes met a demand in excess of sellers’ expectations.

In calf heifers sold to £1400 & £1200 for Simmental crosses from Da Knowe, Twatt.

In calf cows sold to £790 for a Hereford cross from Selivoe, Bridge of Walls and £660 for a Shorthorn cross from Lower Flugarth, Vidlin.

Cast rams to £81 for Suffolk crosses from Setter House, Lochend.
